In the heart of Mpumalanga, between Sabie and Hazyview, Blue Mountain Lodge is an old colonial house, with high ceilings, huge verandas and long green rolling lawns that lead down to indigenous forest.
Set on 200 ha of a working Macadamia and avocado farm, Blue Mountain Lodge is synonymous with superior service, fine dining and uniquely exquisite accommodation.
Explore the wonders of the area, from the Kruger National Park to the Panorama Route, including God’s Window, Pilgrim’s Rest and the Blyde River Canyon. Alternatively there are a range of activities available at the lodge: bass fishing, walking, bird watching or simply sitting by the pool and soaking up the lazy Lowveld sun.
Dining
Breakfast is served until noon.
You can enjoy cocktails on the veranda, followed by a fine dining experience in the restaurant, where the influences are Afro-French. There is a walk-in cellar with over 2000 bottles of the finest South African wines that you can choose to accompany your meal.
Accommodation
There are 15 suites at the Blue Mountain Lodge, each of them unique in décor, yet alike in luxury and sophistication. Renowned for the levels of comfort and style in which each suite as been designed, we want to provide you with a truly unique experience. In order to maintain the peace and tranquillity that you will gain from a stay with us, there are no televisions in the bedrooms, except in the Manor Houses.
- The two Manor Houses have marbled bathrooms, a mahogany study, kitchen, lounge and dinning room, including an own personal Chef and Maitre’d.
- There are 8 Victorian Suites, each with king size beds and en-suite bathrooms.
- The 4 Quadrant Suites are set in a cobbled courtyard. Each room has a lounge, bathroom with separate bath, shower and toilet downstairs with a gallery bedroom upstairs.
- The Ballentine Suite has a luxuriously furnished lounge, majestic bedroom and a private plunge pool that overlooks the lush forest.
