There are many ways to experience the Kruger National Park but for those of you looking for something a little extra, then walking safaris offer a great opportunity. Short half day walks are now available to guests staying outside the Kruger Park. So if you are looking for the smaller, more interesting critters that inhabit this wonderland or perhaps just looking for a more personal close to nature experience then nothing can compare to a guided walking safari.
Departures from Hazyview:
Guests are collected at sun rise from a central point in Hazyview Town. Guests would then be transferred in an open game drive vehicle to the wilderness area in the Kruger Park.
Once in the reserve your guide will brief you on the safety and etiquette aspects of the walk before the walk begins. The trail is set at a comfortable walking pace, stopping at intervals for guests to enjoy the splendid views and for your guide to interpret interesting facts about the area.
Halfway into the walk your guide will stop for a short break where guests will be provided with a small snack and drinking water. The second half of the trail will lead you in a circular route back to where the vehicle was left. Guests will be greeted with a full English breakfast after which you will be transferred back to the central meeting point.
Guests are accompanied by qualified and experienced guides at all times.
