Conveniently situated in the Mpumalanga town of Hazyview, Blue Jay Lodge is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Kruger National Park is a 10 minute drive away, if you enter through the Phabeni Gate, and early morning game drives are easily arranged. For those looking to explore a little further afield, there are a number of Lowveld Panorama sites to explore, such as God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck Potholes, The Pinnacle and the old mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest. There are also a range of adventure activities on offer in the area.

Located on a lush, subtropical estate, Blue Jay Lodge is built amongst a wondrous, indigenous forest that is home to over 80 different bird species. As you wander along the paths from the main lodge to the 4 luxury suites, and the self catering cottage, you can’t help but feel that you are in paradise, surrounded by the sites and sounds of nature.

You can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Blue Jay Lodge from the privacy of your own veranda, or cool off and relax in the rim flow pool as you take in your surroundings.

Dining

Blue Jay Lodge operates as both a bed & breakfast and self-catering accommodation.
For guests staying in the four Suites, a large breakfast feast is provided. We also provide a breakfast hamper for our guests who choose to go on early morning game drives.
We don’t offer dining facilities, but there is a range of excellent restaurants in and around Hazyview.
